Dear Students,

Hope all of you are healthy and well!

Due to the recent increase of COVID-19 cases leading to community spread, the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) has raised the epidemic warning level. Accordingly, NSYSU has drawn the following measures that require your cooperation to ensure campus safety.

Related measures and regulations are listed below:

1. Starting from May 12, 2021, all buildings on campus adopted a single-entrance measure. Please keep your mask on when passing through and show your identification. There will be personnel taking your temperature and providing stickers for you to enter all campus buildings for the day.
2. Holding pre-scheduled activities shall ensure all participants maintain social distancing, wear masks/use partitions, collect all participants' contact information, check temperature, sanitize, control occupant capacity, and ensure proper traffic flow. Participation in or holding trans-city/county activities such as graduation trips, field trips, off-campus internships, and workshops shall be canceled.
3. All campus venues (offices, classrooms, toilets, public areas, restaurants, etc.) shall be managed according to the following measures: record participants’ contact information, check temperature, sanitize, disinfect the environment, control occupant capacity, and ensure proper traffic flow.
4. All student club activities, meetings, and classes held either in the student center, on-campus or off-campus, are suspended. During the suspension period, the 4^th to 6^th floors of the Student Center will be closed; venue (including bodhi tree quad and the social sciences/management and science/engineering hallways) booking will be closed.
5. Campus fitness centers will be closed for varsity team practices, physical education (PE) classes, and personal training. The Gymnasium is open to university members and family, alumni, retirees and requires identification for access. The swimming pool opens only to pre-scheduled classes. 
6. Instructors and students are required to wear masks in class at all times. Classes with over a hundred students will be divided into different classrooms or adopt distance learning mode. Seating records shall be kept either by photo or by signature on charts.
7. Commencement will be postponed to June 19, 2021.

The above-mentioned measures and regulations become effective immediately until June 8, 2021. Updated announcements will be made available according to the latest information from the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC) of Taiwan.
